KATS LEAD AF1 IN HOME GAME ATTENDANCE, MERCHANDISE SALES
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – In their first season calling F&M Bank Arena home, the Nashville Kats are having unprecedented success both on and off the field.
The Kats are 7-1 heading into Saturday’s 4 p.m. showdown with the visiting Albany Firebirds (8-1) with first place in the Arena Football One (AF1) standings and a leg up for the top seed in the playoffs come the postseason on the line. Meanwhile, the Kats are leading all of AF1 in both home attendance and merchandise sales. And their social media growth is also trending upwards in dramatic fashion.
“The Kats’ mission all along is to build a successful franchise on the field with our football franchise and also be successful off of it on a variety of platforms,” Kats President & Partner Jeff Fisher said. “As we head into the stretch drive of the season, the statistical categories show we are headed in the right direction across the board.”
Across three significant social media platforms, the Kats have increased dramatically in their Instagram, X and Facebook fan engagement and outreach.
Instagram views have increased by 1,200% with interactions increasing by 2,200% percent; X views have jumped by 214.2% percent with interactions up 35.7%; and views on Facebook have increased by 35.8% with views and 14% with interactions.
“The two main ingredients in building a successful franchise are teamwork and execution on the field and a great fan base to support and become engaged in fostering that success,” Kats Chief Operating Officer and Partner Greg Pogue said. “Coach Darren Arbet’s team has shown to be the class of the league, while these statistical numbers show that fans of the team are more than just cheering, but playing a huge part in building sustaining success.”
This coming Saturday’s game is “Dad’s Day at The Den” in honor of Father’s Day on Sunday. The Kats Kaptain is the Voice of the Tennessee Volunteers Mike Keith, the former Voice of the Tennessee Titans. It is the national television game of the week on VICE TV, and the Kats are offering special family four-ticket packages starting at $99. This season, the Kats are 5-0 at home, including last Saturday’s 48-32 win over the Minnesota Monsters to sweep the season series. Other home wins include the season opener April 14 versus the Michigan Arsenal (78-40), April 27 over the Washington Wolfpack (45-3), May 9 against the Oregon Lightning (64-21) and May 16 versus the Oceanside Bombers (63-49).
Saturday’s game versus Albany is a rematch of last season’s Arena Crown championship game won 60-57 by the Firebirds. The Kats close the home portion of the regular season on Saturday, June 27 at 4 p.m. against the Beaumont Renegades. All AF1 games this season can be watched at TheAF1.com — the league’s official website – and the league’s YouTube channel. The June 20 matchup versus Albany will be the VICE TV National Game of the Week.
