MAYOR WES GOLDEN PROCLAIMS AUG. 2 “NASHVILLE KATS DAY” IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden has proclaimed Sunday, Aug. 2 as “Nashville Kats Day” in Montgomery County.

The Nashville Kats will play host to the Michigan Arsenal in the semifinal round of the Arena Football One (AF1) playoffs on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The game will be played at “The Den” – F&M Bank Arena in historic downtown Clarksville, where the Kats are undefeated this season – and will be nationally televised on VICE TV network and multiple streaming platforms.

The Nashville Kats closed the regular season by winning nine games in a row to claim the No. 1 seed in the AF1 playoffs with an 11-1 record. Should the Kats win Sunday, they will host the Arena Crown league championship game on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 3 p.m.

Previously, the Tennessee General Assembly and Tennessee State Senate honored the Kats for their successes on and off the field this season with a statewide proclamation.
